Audio Visual Manufacturers
When buying projectors and other audio visual equipment, it is often helpful to know a little bit more about the manufacturer.
While some names may be familiar because they also manufacture consumer electronics or home appliances, others may need more of an introduction.
We have compiled some quick information about different manufacturers below to help you in making a decision as to which projector is best for you.
BenQ

BenQ is a Taiwanese corporation launched in 2001. They manufacture of a broad range of digital products including digital projectors. The company's philosophy is "Enjoyment Matters".
With offices all over the world and over 1300 employees, they have become popular and a well known name in the projector industry reaching rank 4 in the world in 2008.

Casio

Casio is a well known leading manufacturer and established brand in the world of electronics. They offer products with innovative features and their projectors are no exception.
The new Casio Green Slim projectors feature the newly developed laser and LED hybrid light source making Casio projectors pioneers in matter of environment.
The laser and LED hybrid light source means that the Casio projectors are the first high brightness projectors in the world that don't use mercury lamps. The current range features brightness levels of up to 2500 lumens which is bright enough to use in most well lit rooms.
Additionally the new light source has a life expectancy of around 20.000 hours; that's 10 times longer than mercury lamps.
As well as being more environmentally friendly, the Casio projectors have a much reduced ownership cost as you won't have to replace the lamp (at an average cost of £200 +VAT) every 2000 hours and they have a power consumption of only 0.6W in standby mode. |
