When you need to change your projector lamp, always follow the manufacturer's recommendations as stated in your projector manual.

The usual procedure is as follows:

NOTE: Do not touch the glass area of the lamp. Natural oil from your hands can cause the lamp to shatter. Use a dry cloth to clean the lamp module if it was accidentally touched.
  1. Turn the projector off by pressing the Power button
  2. Allow the projector to cool down for 30 - 45 minutes
  3. Disconnect the projector from the power cable
  4. Unscrew the screws on the lamp compartment cover (figure 1); lift and remove the cover (figure 2)
  5. Unscrew the screws on the lamp module (figure 3)
  6. Lift up the handle on the lamp (figure 4) and pull the lamp out slowly and carefully.
  7. Insert the new lamp carefully, tighten the screws on the lamp (not too tight), replace the lamp compartment cover and tighten the screws on the cover.
  8. Reconnect the power cable and turn the projector on.
  9. If required, reset the lamp counter in the projector menu.
